BBA Gallery is part of the Contemporary Showroom - a unique group exhibition bundling the many exhibitions of the artists worth seeing during the Gallery Weekend Berlin at an exclusive central space, making them available for the Berlin public and wider audiences.

As part of the long-awaited Gallery Weekend, BBA will exhibit alongside a curated selection of contemporary Berlin galleries at the Contemporary Showroom on Berlin's Friedrichstrasse. BBA showcases the works of Gallery Director and artist Renata Kudlacek and Welsh artist Rhys Himsworth, who is currently exhibiting his new body of works at his solo exhibition “Hereafter” at BBA Gallery.

The work selects as well as their thematic weight of art history were consciously coupled by BBA Gallery and represent a bold statement on the timelessness of art and its deeply western European rooted subjects: Both Kudlacek and Himsworth's work are a homage to the lifelong investigation of artists working with the art of landscape and flowers. While this very strong combination of artworks in itself procures validity due to the relentless search for perfection, the artists approach the subject in their own individual way, exposing a deeper and personal interpretation. Renata Kudlacek evokes themes around infinity, immortality, romance, decay. Himsworth makes time stand still in his idealised artworks, peacefully protesting against the techniques of mass consumption and the waste industry. This is not a sampling of works, but rather a definitive vision.
