Sheung Yiu is an image-centered artist and researcher. In his research-
based practice, Yiu investigates emerging image-making technologies
and the intertwined relationship between human, image, machine, and
large-scale computation through the lens of a photographer. Yiu’s work
takes the form of photography, videos, photo-objects, installations and bookmaking. He is a doctoral researcher in photography at Aalto Uni-
versity. He is selected as a FOAM Talent 2024-2025 and a member of FUTURES. He received the C/O Berlin Talent Award 2025.
