I open a notebook and begin drawing and writing, or drawing through writing, working only on the central double page. I use black gel pens, sometimes red. I don’t really write, I draw. Everything that comes to my mind is written down like a litany, a mantra, a sort of dripping of words that I let melt onto the pages. Text interests me only for its graphic and aesthetic strength; it is not meant to be read, and, to be honest, I feel a little embarrassed when I see people trying to do so. Once finished, I enclose the work in a display case (transparent, metallic, or wooden, it depends), and it is an integral part of the work.
