The work "GOLF" is multifaceted and consists of various components: the female golfer, the airplane, the golf club, comic-strip faces or grimaces, a golf ball in one of their mouths, the background, and the rich, vibrant colors. Do these pictorial elements combine to create a meaningful interpretation? Is the female golfer
perhaps hitting the ball out of the man's mouth with a powerful blow? Are the men perhaps all in cahoots, bundling up, protected by the red figure? The athlete is focused solely on her shot, which should be executed powerfully.

Defense and resistance are out of the question.


My artist name is Bruno Jod.
Born in Caputh, grew up in Schöneberg, Neukölln, and Tempelhof.
Studied at what is now the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK Berlin), A long-time documentary filmmaker ("WHERE ARE YOU, SPIRIT?", 2016, about the development
of a former political high school, and "CLOSE UP," a film about memory and remembrance, in 2022.)


In my paintings, I explore social themes such as the relationship between
men and women, the body and landscape, the definition of naturalism and realism, and art history.
With several other artists, we founded a temporary exhibition series in the south of
Berlin. With the format "ART IN THE LIO," a shopping center in Lichterfelde East, we want to make our mark on the cultural development of the neighborhood.
Also, or perhaps precisely because the painting "GOLF" is such a large format, I have been showing the creative aspects of art in a series of "Small Formats" in DIN A6 since 2023. In over 200 individual images, my hand spins and flows across the sturdy paper.
