Part of a series of sculptural installations using second-hand LEGO. The bricksmarked by wear and discoloration from previous ownersfunction as both material and metaphor. Each work consists of two sides: a flat front that renders the image, and a structurally supportive reverse where recurring symbols are emphasized, particularly blocks associated with Police and the Shell oil company. Through LEGO, I explore themes of capitalism, indoctrination, and plastic consumption, reflecting the ideological atmosphere of my childhood in the 1990san era shaped by neoliberal optimism, American military hegemony, and the illusion of unimpeded growth.
