Reated through intuition and memory, Sunset Waterfall reflects Ghone's ability to transform everyday experiences into abstract visual language. Inspired by an evening at the Pattaya Beach, the painting captures his recollection of watching the sun descend toward the horizon and imagining light flowing like a waterfall.
Ghone instinctively selected a vibrant palette of orange, yellow, and green, applying the paint with his fingers and a sponge to create expressive layers of color and texture. After building the surface, he made an unexpected decision to stand the canvas upright. Using a cup, he slowly poured paint over the composition, allowing gravity to shape cascading streams across the canvas. The flowing paint became an essential part of the work, introducing movement and organic forms that could not be controlled or repeated.
When asked about the painting, Ghone simply described it as "the sun goes down waterfall," recalling the impression left by an evening visit to the beach. Rather than depicting a literal landscape, he translated a childhood memory into an emotional and abstract composition, where warm glowing colors merge with flowing textures to evoke both the setting sun and the gentle movement of falling water.
Sunset Waterfall celebrates the purity of a young child's imagination—where memories are not recorded as exact images, but reinterpreted through instinct, emotion, and playful experimentation with color and material.
